Stacking the Shelves #11
Stacking the Shelves
A quick reminder that Stacking The Shelves is a wonderful way that we can share books we’ve won, bought, or been gifted in either printed or eBook form. It is a weekly meme created by Tynga’s Reviews that is generally posted on Saturdays.
Finally, another Stacking the Shelves post! It helps when I actually get books. 😛 I’ve been trying to limit how many books I buy since I have such a ridiculous TBR pile already, but I had to get a few pretties! So this will essentially cover my books for the last month:
Some Awesome eBooks
Print Books
I am so excited to read all of these new books, though I have already read The Wind Through The Keyhole and really enjoyed it (review here). The Demetri Martin book I just happened to see while in the cities a couple days ago but it looks like it should be pretty funny and a good change of pace from my seemingly constant barrage of fantasy/general YA.
Thanks so much for stopping by, I hope you find something in that list of books that interests you! Please feel free to leave comments about my post or with your own Stacking The Shelves, I do read them all and would love to see your hauls for this week! Enjoy your weekend!

The insane amount of eBook goodness continues! I want to give some major kudos to Sarah Elizabeth’s Bookshelf & Reading and Writing Urban Fantasy and Paranormal Romance for posting free eBooks every week, they are how I find the majority of my freebies. A few of the eBooks I won showed up this week. Forever Woman was won in a giveaway from Enchanted Book Promotions. Moonbeams & The Tempo were both won in the Fall Into Fantasy Hop at the Kishaz World stop.
Now for the print books! I won my choice of Elizabeth Reyes’s books in a giveaway by A Book-lovers’ Review and I picked Sweet Sofie, this one also came with about ten awesome bookmarks that I was a bit too lazy to take a picture of, sorry! Lancaster House I won in the Spooktacular Giveaway at Taylor Dean Books. Finally, I won a signed copy of Ascension from Goldilox and the Three Weres which is freaking awesome. ^.^
It seems as if the cycle of giveaways ending and beginning never ends which is both awesome and pretty darn amazing. A big thank you to all of the blogs who are able to do them, someday I will do one I swear! Thanks so much for stopping by, I hope you find something in that list of books that interests you! Please feel free to leave comments about my post or with your own Stacking The Shelves, I do read them all and would love to see your hauls for this week! Enjoy your weekend! 🙂

Wow there sure were a ton of freebies this week! This was mostly due to the awesomeness that is Michael Edward who decided to make all of his books free for a day which I definitely took advantage of. I only had one eBook that I won actually make it to me (though I won a couple that for some reason haven’t been emailed to me yet >.<) which was Shadowborn courtesy of a giveaway by Dark Obsession Chronicles.
I also had a few print books that I won arrive this week. I won Crank in the Banned Books Giveaway Hop at the Sarcasm and Lemons stop. I got Two and Twenty Dark Tales from a giveaway by Brenda Drake Writes. Finally, I got The Infects which I can’t wait to read (if I ever get to it) which I won from Ginger-read Reviews in the Zombpacolypse Trick or Treat Hop. By the way I was informed I won that on Halloween and it already showed up, way to be on top of sending your books out Ali! ^.^
A bunch of giveaways and hops ended since October has come and gone so I’ve got a few more print books that I can look forward to coming in the next week or two. It seems like I’ll never have a week without at least one or two which is just crazy, but awesome. Thanks so much for stopping by, I hope you find something in that list of books that interests you! Please feel free to leave comments about my post or with your own Stacking The Shelves, I do read them all and would love to see your hauls for this week! Enjoy your weekend!

Once again a ton of books to go through! I found a slightly smaller amount of eBooks than normal but there were still plenty of interesting ones that will now reside in my ridiculous electronic stack that I may or may not ever get to. o.o Now onto the eBooks that I won! I got Dark Promise from the Fall Into Fantasy giveaway hop, this particular one from Talia Jager who is one of the authors of the book. Seduction and Snacks I won in the Hot in Handcuffs giveaway hop and specifically from Ana from Beach Bum Reads. Finally, I won Caged in the Got Caged giveaway hosted by Maryann at Chapter by Chapter!
On to the print books! The two Lish McBride books which have some of the most beautiful covers I’ve ever seen (that cell phone picture does not do them justice) I won from Ed and Em’s Reviews and they are signed which is even more awesome! I won Kiss of Steel from a giveaway by Tynga’s Reviews which will be part of my toe dip into the world of Steampunk books. I got A Whisper to a Scream from a giveaway the author did at her blog Bibliophilic Blather and it is signed as well! Finally, I won a 20$ gift card which I mentioned in my STS last week and I asked people to comment as to which books I should get. The amazing trio of young women book bloggers (more on them in a post soon so look for that) really liked the books you can see above which are Crewel, The Iron King (book 1 in the Iron Fey series) and Lucid. I can’t wait to read all of them as they look amazing and I was already really excited for Crewel! ^.^ I also got Entangled from Netgalley because it was a “Read Now” option at the time. I will be doing reviews of some of these though no guarantees on which or how many. =)
Thanks so much for stopping by, I hope you find something in that massive list of books that interests you! Please feel free to leave comments about my post or with your own Stacking The Shelves, I do read them all and would love to see your hauls for this week! Enjoy your weekend! 🙂

I hardly even know where to begin. o.o I guess I will start with the eBook wins since that is smaller than normal. I won Love’s Providence in a giveaway held by the wonderful people over at Reading Addiction Blog Tours and I won The Forever Girl thanks to its author Rebecca Hamiltion. ^.^
Now for the print books I won, oh boy. I won Tarnished by Karina Cooper in a giveaway by My Bookish Ways and Run The Risk by Lori Foster courtesy of a giveaway by Reviews By Molly. Jan Bibi’s Excellent Fortunes, both Maria Murnane books and Ransom River were all in giveaways held by Girls Just Reading. Finally, I won The Wind of Life – The Flyers from Little Miss Bookworm and Wheels from a giveaway held by Read Review Smile. That sure was a ton of print books that came in! This was certainly another great week in terms of a book haul and was easily the biggest in regards to the amount of print books. ^.^ Now to try and break down the giveaway wins, oh boy here we go again, first the eBooks. Broken City and The Promise by D.D. Chant were won thanks to Sarah Morton. Dark Dates by Tracey Sinclair was won over on Faye’s A Daydreamer’s Blog. Stitch was won courtesy of the lovely people over at Passionate Book Divas, I may do a review of this one.
Alright, now to the crazy print haul! Burn For Burn I won thanks to Ruth Gonzalez, that one I plan to likely do a review of in the coming weeks as well. Now ALL of the rest of the listed print books were from a giveaway by the amazing Kay Dee Royal who gave away an entire box of books mostly containing paranormal romance! I can’t wait to read them all if I can ever find the time! ^.^
Finally, I got Here Lies Death in exchange for a review which will be posted this coming week so look for that. That is all from me for now, look for my Sunday Post tomorrow with next week’s schedule and a recap of this week’s! If you’d like to follow me you can do so via the usual methods, and make sure to comment on any of the books I got or your own STS for the week, I do read them all! Thanks for reading and have a great weekend! 🙂

Yet again it has been a very good week for my book haul. ^.^ A big part of the freebie section was obviously Jeremy C. Shipp’s books so a big shout out and thank you go out to him for putting them for free the last week. Even though I did technically buy Dark Light of Day by Jill Archer it was done so with a 10$ Amazon gift card so it was basically free which is always awesome and it arrived yesterday just in time to add it to this post!
Now to break down all of the giveaway wins, oh boy. Laiden’s Daughter was from the Highlander Giveaway Hop and though that isn’t my usual genre by any means I thought it would be a good opportunity to expand my book tastes so I’ll give it a shot soonish. I won Janus courtesy of Suzanne Johnson over at Preternatura, she does a crazy number of giveaways each week and I finally won one from there, I can’t wait to dive into it! The Selkie Spell was from The (Mis)Adventures of a Twenty-Something Year Old Girl blog and I’m looking forward to trying that one out too. Both books by Rhiannon Frater were won thanks to a giveaway by Book Loving Mom and I’ll be reading those in the next few days thanks to being part of Fraterfest, those had scary good timing. o.o The Last Degree was won from a giveaway on Full Moon Bites Book Blog, I’ll be expanding my reading horizons with this one too. Finally, The Red Serpent Trilogy was won from one of my favorite blogs, Reading and Writing Urban Fantasy and I’ll be doing a review of that one either this week or the next.
I also got an ARC eBook of The Reanimation of Edward Schuett thanks to Derek J. Goodman in exchange for an honest review which I’ll be doing this coming week sometime. That was possible thanks to twitter, if you follow enough awesome bookish people stuff like that will just fall in your lap! ^.^
As you can see I’ve got a ton of books to read from this week, and a few of those which I’ll be reviewing. The horror ones I either have or will be reading almost all of during the next few days while I participate in Fraterfest so that will be pretty fun combing through that part of my TBR pile. That’s all from me for now, look for my Sunday Post tomorrow with next week’s schedule and a recap of what I did this week, and if you would like to please check out my other posts including my last review and the challenges I am participating in this weekend for Fraterfest! You can also follow me via the usual methods if you like what you see so you don’t miss any cool posts. As always thanks for reading and let me know what you got in the comments, I read every one! Enjoy your weekend! 🙂

Space Battles by Flying Pen Press Publishing, Edited by Bryan Thomas Schmidt
As you can see it has been a crazy week for my little blog and book collection! I speak with Sarah-Jane Lehoux fairly regularly on twitter and when I tweeted out that I would do an honest review of a book in exchange for a free copy she generously offered not one but TWO of her amazing books, Thief and Shades of War. If you’ve read my other posts you’d know I already reviewed Thief and thought it was wonderful and Shades of War will, I’m sure, be just as fantastic. I received Space Battles through the same tweeting process from the kind folks at Flying Pen Press who gave me a whole list that I could choose from in exchange for an honest review and this is the first one I chose! I’m currently working on one of the freebies I listed above, Conner by Miranda Stork, but after that I’ll be working on my review of Space Battles.
I participate in a ridiculous amount of giveaways and thanks to some good fortune on my part I won a few this week! I already received 3/4 of the eBooks I won from Laurie’s Thoughts and Reviews blog which was participating in the Stuck in a Good Book Giveaway Hop. Those were Fatal Distraction, CIA Fall Guy and A Red Dead Oleander which I’ll read and possibly review though I haven’t decided that yet. I also won Demons by Heather Frost thanks to a giveaway by Book Haven Extraordinaire which I may or may not review as well.
If you want to check out any of the books the links are available above. You can also check out the fabulous blogs where I was lucky enough to win books to see their other posts and any current giveaways they have going on. Make sure to check out the other blogs participating in Stacking The Shelves at Tynga’s Reviews and, if you’d like, join in on the fun! Feel free to comment about what you think of any of these books or link to your own STS post, I do read them all. 🙂 Happy Saturday!
