Sunday Post #24
The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by the amazing Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It is a chance to share news, recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.
I love participating in Sunday Post because I can provide a recap of books I read, talk about what is coming up next week, and discuss any books I received in the past week!
This week I didn’t really go after too many books, but I did get a couple eBooks and NetGalleys that I’ll share. ^.^

Saturday – Book of the Week: Horde by Ann Aguirre

Another successful blogging week, and a great reading week is in the books! (Book blog puns are fun! ^.^) I finally read Horde, a book I had been saving for quite a while, and it was every bit as good as I could have hoped for. Alexander Death was a nice return to a series I’ve enjoyed and He Needs Discipline definitely satiated my naughty read for the week. Overall I was pretty happy with getting the books in that I did because the week was a little hectic.
For those who stopped by last week, you know I was dealing with some real life issues involving getting into the University, but it’s all good because I got the last appeal approved! Huzzah! I’ll be starting classes in just a couple weeks which is a bit crazy, but I’ve already got my books and I’ve been trying to study a bit to get ahead. Yay, education?! >.>
As far as blogging goes it went well as you can see since I had another week of daily posts, yay! I don’t know if that will continue when classes start and assuming I’ll have a work study job, but I’ll keep you posted. (More puns!) Thanks for stopping by, I hope you had a great bookish week, and thanks for reading. Enjoy your Sunday!

This was another fun blogging week, but a bit of an up and down reading one. I loved Rogue and Daybreak, and I Hunt Killers was thrilling in its own way, but there were a few books I had been looking forward to that either I didn’t enjoy or were just alright. Still, I have plenty of books that I am excited to get to, so hopefully this next week will be a bit better!
Getting back to consistent posts has been a lot of fun for me, and it has kept me distracted from real life which has been a pain as of late. I’ve been working since May on jumping through all the hoops, but this week I found out I won’t be on campus for at least the first semester back at the University of Minnesota, and I might not be at all depending on a financial aid appeal. If that falls through things get ugly very quickly, but I’ll deal with that if/when it happens.
I don’t have set posts yet for this week, but hopefully I’ll be able to continue this run of daily (or nearly daily anyway) posts! I hope you enjoy! Thanks for stopping by, I hope you had a great bookish week, and thanks for reading. Enjoy your Sunday!

This week was a return to blogging in full force, both here and on my other two blogs that I’m working on. The best part was that it was simply for the love of doing it, and that made it incredibly fun and fulfilling. Being a content creator, even when it is just reviewing other people’s content, has to be a labor of love for me to do it, so times like this are awesome.
I read quite a bit this week too! I finished the Secrets of the Eternal Rose trilogy, read The Murder Complex, breezed through a few novellas that were sitting on my Kindle app, and finished it off with The Cutting Room Floor by Dawn Klehr! Having a great bookish week always makes everything better, and this was no exception.
I don’t know what I’ll be posting this coming week, but if the mood continues I’ll likely have at least a fair few for you all. I hope you enjoy! Thanks for stopping by, I hope you had a great bookish week as well, and thanks for reading. Enjoy your Sunday!

As you can see the book haul was pretty great this week! I got some new MG to read (see yesterday’s post all about that!), a couple I had been considering for a while (Mind Games & Uses For Boys), and two recommendation books (Bruiser and D&LBoD) from Book Outlet for (as usual) crazy cheap. Attachments was another recommendation book that I saw on ze booktube, and Slaughterhouse-Five is because Crash Course (John Green in this case) is going Literary and it is giving me an excuse to read classics! ^.^
On the other hand is my reading week…goodness that was brutal. I had high hopes for Cruel Beauty with that gorgeous cover, but 2/5 was generous and I’m definitely a black sheep on that one. Speaking of sheep, Sheep and Wolves by one of my favorite authors, Jeremy C. Shipp, wasn’t bad, but comparatively not nearly as good as his other work. Anne Merchant was one I really had been looking forward to and for the most part it let me down, and don’t get me started on the atrocity that was the clown book. *shudders*
The bright spots were The Battle of the Dragon Slayer by my favorite “naughty” author Leigh Wilder, and especially Unearthly by Cynthia Hand which I will be reviewing next Saturday for Book of the Week! They saved what otherwise was a sluggish, disappointing, and altogether blah reading week, but as a whole it was probably the worst I’ve had so far this year.
On the blog I did two more “original” and random posts where I asked what kind of reader are you and also all about middle grade books and how I need more of them in my life, so that was a lot of fun! Thanks for stopping by, feel free to leave a link to your Sunday Post or whatever other bookish meme you partake in over the weekend and I will be sure to check it out! Enjoy your Sunday! ^.^

Despite the fact that I managed to read a book a day this week (even though I got more sick) I’m not thrilled with my reading progress. This was the main part of the Wicked Valentine’s Readathon and I wanted to get at least 10 books in during that portion, so while 7 is alright, for a readathon it isn’t stepping up my usual levels at all. However, I didn’t read any novellas this week, everything was full length novels (some of which were even 350-400 or so), so that’s good.
Even though the quantity wasn’t there this week the quality sure was! Lady Thief and Split Second, my two pre-orders for this week, both lived up to every possible expectation I could have had for them and I’m already pining for the next in each series! Three was just as excellent and a wonderful way to end the trilogy, and If You Find Me gave me ALL THE FEELS. So ya, good stuff.
I’ve already read almost half the books I received this week, and will likely pick up another soon because they just look so pretty! I don’t know when I’ll get around to reading The Name of the Wind though, the book is massive. o_o I hope you enjoyed the variety this week with a cover reveal AND a blog tour review, it was a ton of fun to participate in both! Thanks for stopping by, feel free to leave a link to your Sunday Post or whatever other bookish meme you partake in over the weekend and I will be sure to check it out! Enjoy your Sunday! ^.^

This was another decent reading week, with 8 books in total. Ideally I will be stepping that up this coming week with it being the WWReadathon and all, but I can’t make any promises with school/work in mind. As for all the books…well I binged a little. I had a 25$ GC for Target I hadn’t used since Christmas so that’s why I bought those this week. Book Outlet ones were books I had considered buying multiple times in the past, but they were at good enough bargains to “justify” me giving them a try now. The NG books well… that’s just me wanting to read ALL THE BOOKS. o_o
I have a pretty big post coming up on Tuesday where I’ll be on the blog tour for Three by Kristen Simmons, so I hope you stop by for that if nothing else this coming week! Hopefully I can do the book justice. ^.^ Book of the Week WILL be returning this coming Saturday, so if you are enjoying that feature fear not! Thanks for stopping by, feel free to leave a link to your Sunday Post or whatever other bookish meme you partake in over the weekend and I will be sure to check it out! This was an admittedly slow reading week. I only read 6 books and two of those were novellas. I ended up working Friday because I got called in and that took up one of my designated reading days where I likely would have read Breaking Point by Kristen Simmons. That is the book I am currently working on, so if I have time today (working around the Super Bowl which I LOVE) that’s what I’ll be reading and likely posting for tomorrow’s Mini Review Monday.
Next week I know I’ll be reading the previously mentioned Breaking Point, and my ARC of Three, which is scheduled to be reviewed on the 11th for the Three Blog Tour, so look for both of those coming up soon. Other then that not too much to report except the return of Book of the Week! Thanks for stopping by, feel free to leave a link to your Sunday Post or whatever other bookish meme you partake in over the weekend and I will be sure to check it out! A Gnome Problem by Michael Crane – 3/5 – Alright, but not his best.

I’m finally (mostly) healthy, huzzah! I also started my diet this week which is less exciting, but necessary. It was another pretty good week of reading with the exception of my first DNF of the year, but I didn’t let that spoil the week! I continued two series that I’ve almost completed, Percy Jackson and the Olympians & Artemis Fowl, and finally read Scarlet which I enjoyed so much that I immediately went and pre-ordered Lady Thief which comes out next month!

I went a bit crazy this week, but it was a needed pick-me-up because I’ve been sick for ~2wks and it’s getting to me. Here we go!
Pigments of My Imagination by Angela Kulig – I’ve read and reviewed this already (loved it), but I needed a physical copy.
Roomies by Sara Zarr & Tara Altebrando – Heard mixed things about this one but I’m a sucker for school settings.
Winger by Andrew Smith – School settings again, also a lot of people have been raving about it lately.
Not a Drop to Drink by Mindy McGinnis – Too much hype from Epic Reads during Tea Time, had to.
The Golem and the Jinni by Helene Wecker – This is all Kat from Katytastic, check her channel out!
Vitro by Jessica Khoury – Saw it highlighted in new releases somewhere.
The Unseemly Education of Anne Merchant by Joanna Wiebe – Same as Vitro & awesome premise!

Pivot Point made the week by itself, so freaking good!

Books I Received for Christmas
Reboot by Amy Tintera – I was on the fence for this one, but I liked the premise enough to put it on my list and I got it, sweet!
Resist by Sarah Crossan – I still need to read Breathe, but I have a good feeling about these books and was thrilled to see the pretty cover of Resist after I tore off the wrapping paper.
The Future of Us by Jay Asher – This was my gift to me because of how much I loved Thirteen Reasons Why, can’t wait!

Last Week on the Blog
Goals and Challenges for 2014 – Also includes my weekly schedule for this year!
Killing My Kindle: The Sorcerer’s Daughter by Larry Kollar – My first post on the new eBook feature!
Frodo’s Frisky Friday: Taken by the Centaurs by Celestia Dew – Things get a bit naughty and very humorous.
Book of the Week: Bang by Lisa McMann – Another new feature and me gushing like crazy!

Bang by Lisa McMann – 5/5 (Review above)
Taken by the Centaurs by Celestia Dew – 5/5 (Mini-review above)
Catching Jordan by Miranda Kenneally – 3/5 – I thought this was pretty good but the MC kinda drove me nuts in the 2nd half.
The Forest of Hands and Teeth – 4/5 – Same thing with Catching Jordan except I liked the story and dialogue a LOT, the MC was just incredibly whiny and indecisive.
Fantasy Life by Matthew Berry – 5/5 – I enjoyed taking a break of fiction to read about fantasy football. Yes, that totally makes sense.

It has been a pretty good start to the year! I’ve enjoyed all of the books I’ve read, I’m a tiny bit ahead, and with the readathon next week I should get even farther. Thanks for stopping by, feel free to leave a link to your Sunday Post or whatever other bookish meme you partake in over the weekend and I will be sure to check it out! Enjoy your Sunday! ^.^
Sunday Post #11
Sunday Post
The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by the amazing Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It is a chance to share news, recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.
It has been ages since I last participated in a Sunday Post! I’m just going to focus on the ones I bought in December, though I will mention buying two favorites of Epic Reads, that being Another Little Piece and Tiger Lily. ^.^ On to the books!
Because of the Hype
In the After by Demitria Lunetta – I’ve heard on multiple Tea Time broadcasts that the first 100 pages of this book are AMAZING so I finally gave in.
Amazon Sales Are My Weakness
Breathe by Sarah Crossan
Carrier of the Mark by Leigh Fallon
Death and the Girl Next Door by Darynda Jones
Hush, Hush by Becca Fitzpatrcik
Catching Jordan by Miranda Kenneally
The Forest of Hands and Teeth by Carrie Ryan
—————————————————————————————————————————————————
The common theme with all these books, you may have noticed, is that they are all book 1 in a series. All of these are series I have considered diving into in the past, but the sale Amazon had was the deal breaker, I think I got all six (not including In the After) for ~26$ which is pretty great especially with Breathe being hardcover. ^.^
I’m looking forward to trying these series out and hopefully I’ll like all of them and then I’ll have even more books to buy since these have been out for quite a while.

Last Week on the Blog

This Week on the Blog

I’ll probably do my next Sunday Post after Christmas so look for that! Thanks for stopping by, feel free to leave a link to your Sunday Post or whatever other bookish meme you partake in over the weekend and I will be sure to check it out! Enjoy your Sunday! ^.^

It has been almost a month since the last Sunday Post I participated in. The amount of books I’ve received is a tad on the crazy side so alas I won’t be including pictures this time, but hopefully you’ll enjoy anyway. On to the books!

Book Haul Talk
So this haul is pretty crazy and that comes from a few areas. The Artemis Fowl series buy was because I mentioned it as part of a Top Ten Tuesday post and realized that I had stopped reading that series for no good reason, I’m now working on fixing that. The Screaming Staircase and a couple of the “long overdue” books, as well as Steelheart were bought at a book signing I went to. William Shakespeare’s Star Wars is one I saw at Target and had to grab. As for the rest, well, the “new releases” section is essentially all pre-orders with the exception of The Brokenhearted (awesome premise & cover buy) and Fear the Reaper (Has Jeremy C. Shipp in the anthology and I want a complete collection of his work). So ya, that’s why I got so many freaking amazing books in this haul. However, I may not do another one of these until sometime in early November because, besides pre-orders, I don’t plan on buying many books in the near future. So ya.
Thanks for stopping by, feel free to leave a link to your Sunday Post or whatever other bookish meme you partake in over the weekend and I will be sure to stop by! Enjoy your Sunday and I’ll see you in about a month for another Sunday Post! ^.^
Totally Random Tuesday: The I’m Not Abandoning You Edition
Totally Random Tuesday
If you have been following the blog recently you may have noticed that there wasn’t a post on Sunday or Monday, for this I apologize. School caught up and I was sick for the last week with a mixture of stomach, nose, and headache issues. Yesterday was the first day I managed to leave the house so obviously it wasn’t a funfest. However, I do have today as the last day of the wonderful Fraterfest readathon and I plan to read at least one more book, possibly two. I also have the next two days free of college stuff AND my favorite readathon of the year, at least for 24hr ones, Dewey’s readathon is SATURDAY!!! I’m incredibly excited because Dewey’s is always amazing, a ton of fun, and I have that day free as well so I’m all in on the 24hr book/twitter/challenge/awesomeness.
What does that rambling all mean? I’m stockpiling reviews, huzzah! I currently have six books read and waiting to be reviewed plus between now and the end of Dewey’s I should have that number into double digits which would be awesomesauce and amazeballs and all of the other goofy combo words we use now. So here’s the deal for this week. There will not be a YA Wednesday tomorrow, but there WILL be a wrapup post for Fraterfest to make up for that! There WILL be a Frodo’s Frisky Friday AND I’m doing another giant book haul Sunday Post to recap all of the amazing things I’ve received in the past ~3weeks, so hopefully that gets you a bit excited! Thanks as always for reading and I’m off to do some reading of my own! See you tomorrow! ^.^
Sunday Post #9
Sunday Post
The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by the amazing Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It is a chance to share news, recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.
If you saw my Sunday Post a couple weeks ago you would know that I had planned for it to be a monthly feature. This would allow me to have plenty of books to share as well as news and a good overall recap. Well I’ve accrued 15 books in the last two weeks and if I don’t post this now I’m a bit scared of the number I’d be trying to share by the end of the month. So here we go.
Ze Book Haul

Attic Clowns by Jeremy C. Shipp
Book Haul Talk
If you read my last Sunday Post two weeks ago you may be wondering why I’m doing another one so soon. The answer is quite simple, I already had built up such a large amount of books that had I waited until the end of the month to do a book haul it would have been a mile long. This haul has new releases (Antigoddess!), ones I’ve read before but wanted a print copy of (Attic Clowns), and a ton of books that I’m really looking forward to. The top section of the stack of books is made up of sequels and while I am looking forward to all of them I haven’t even read book one of any of those series. XD I just couldn’t help myself! Also, at the bottom of the stack are two MG books, Doll Bones and Liesl & Po which I got purely because Kat @ Katytastic really enjoyed them. ^.^
The Last Two Weeks
I am hosting a giveaway (still open!) as part of the Off to Oz Giveaway Hop and am giving away 3 Amazon Gift Cards!
I wrote about the Top Ten books that I wish were taught in schools
Read and reviewed Croak by Gina Damico (which I loved)
Gushed over my pretty new pictures for my weekly features created by the amazing Kelly @ Reading the Paranormal!
Thanks for stopping by, feel free to leave a link to your Sunday Post or whatever other bookish meme you partake in over the weekend and I will be sure to stop by! Enjoy your Sunday and I’ll see you in a couple weeks for another Sunday Post! ^.^

Croak by Gina Damico – 4/5 (Review to come)
August was a pretty good month in terms of new books. The Wall O’ Books, aka my print TBR, continues to grow and taunt me as if it knows I can’t read all of the pretties anytime soon. Most of the books in the first picture are ones recommended by Kat over at Katytastic and I love her for it since I really needed some contemporaries to go with all of my fantasy/sci-fi/paranormal stuff. Keeper of the Lost Cities & The Treachery of Beautiful Things were both just released in paperback form so I thought it was a great time to grab them. Perdition, The Beginning of Everything, Gated & Indelible were all brand new releases I had on pre-order. All of the Jeremy C. Shipp books were ones I had been meaning to get for a while and now I finally have them on my shelves! Fantasy Life (all about fantasy football) I won by signing up for a fantasy sports website which was pretty cool and Contaminated was won in a giveaway over at My Shelf Confessions!
Month in Review
I hosted a giveaway as part of the Summer Road Trip Giveaway Hop that was very successful in terms of entries!
Participated in The Books, Brains ‘n Blood and Bout of Books readathons!
Revealed my brand new blog schedule!
I also published 8 reviews including one of the best I’ve ever written, Wise Young Fool by Sean Beaudoin!
What’s Happening in September?
The new schedule is here and begins this week! The only exception will be no Mini Review Monday due to this monthly post going up the day before. However you will get Totally Random Tuesday, YA Wednesday, Frodo’s Frisky Friday and Standard Review Sunday this week! I hope you’re excited for all of that because I’m pumped to get those features going in full swing. ^.^ I will also be hosting a giveaway as part of the Off to Oz Giveaway Hop on September 10th! Finally, my review as part of the Nemesis Blog Tour will go up on September 16th and I’d love for you to check it out! Thanks for stopping by, feel free to leave a link to your Sunday Post or whatever other bookish meme you partake in over the weekend and I will be sure to stop by! Enjoy your Sunday and see you next month! 🙂
A Month in Review: January
A Month in Review: January

Waving goodbye to January, it was fun (and cold!)
What a month! It was my first in my 365 Books in 365 Days in 2013 Challenge and by some sort of miracle I actually managed to read one every day! It was a bit crazy but I had a blast. Now to break down the month of January!
Challenges
Goodreads 2013 Reading Challenge/365 Books in 365 Days in 2013 Challenge – 31/365 Books Read
Mount TBR Challenge – 26/150+/2013 TBR Pile 26/50 – I got a bunch of books off of my pile taken care of and can’t wait to do the same in February!
2013 Genre Reading Challenge – 16/30 – Already over halfway! I’ve really enjoyed diversifying the types of books I read and I know it will get even harder, and more fun, as I continue. A few of the genres: Paranormal, Dystopian, Romance, Epic Fantasy, Horror, Contemporary, Spy.
Seriously Series Reading Challenge – 14/44 – I made some solid headway on some of my series! A few of the series I made progress in: Pendragon, Iron Fey, Divergent, Attic Clowns, Dragoneer Saga, Spellbound.
Monthly Key Word Challenge – 1/12 – I can only do one month at a time so a book a month it is! My book for this challenge in January was Snow White, Blood Red.
Activities/Posts
Number of Posts – 33 – 31 reviews, one “2013 Challenges” post & one post for the Bout of Books Readathon!
Activities – Bout of Books Readathon – 7 books read for 1,809 total pages during that week!
Stats
Views – 339
Comments – 32
What I Learned/Changes For February
I will admit, I impressed myself by actually being able to do so many reviews in January and keeping up with my challenges. I tried to vary up my posts by changing up the review style to fit the book (Hobbit-sized, Top 5/Top 10, Rambling/Rant, Standard) but outside of my initial post of the year about my challenges and the Bout of Books Readathon, that’s all I did, reviews. Some people might be completely fine with that, others might not. You can certainly let me know by commenting on this and I, of course, would appreciate it. After speaking with one of my best bookish/bloggy friends Eileen from Singing and Reading in the Rain I decided that it would be good to try and mix in a couple memes again. It means more work for me as I will continue to do the book & review per day, but it would add some variety and hopefully keep the blog fresh and interesting for readers. Also pictures, I must try and use more pictures to make the reviews easier on the eyes, so I will be working on that too.
If you’d like you can make specific suggestions as well! Use pictures or don’t and what kind(s)? Which memes are your favorite to see and why? Let me know! I’m currently thinking Stacking the Shelves & Waiting on Wednesday, though I may do Sunday Post as well, it keeps me accountable and on track each week and might help organize my posts/books I read instead of every day wondering what book and how I’ll find the time.
Let me know what you think about the possible additions/changes and also update me on how you are doing on YOUR reading challenges/goals so far! I hope you are keeping up or are even ahead already, you can do it! Thanks as always for reading! ^.^

———————————————————————————————————————————————————————-
NaNoWriMo kicked into full gear this week so that kept me quite busy, or at least it would have had I kept on my daily word count schedule. You can check them out if you can’t get the gist from the short description or just want to read what happened on any given day. This week it will continue and based on my pace I should have no problem “winning” (hitting the 50,000 word mark) sometime during it. To find out where I currently am at and a bit about my most recent day click on the link for today’s post (Day 10).
I did manage to get one review in since The Infects consumed one of my days the week prior. I generally try to keep my reviews to books that have recently come out if at all possible so that they appeal to potential readers. I can do that with this week’s review (I only guarantee one a week since NaNoWriMo takes up so much time) or I can do an older one (think 2011 not 2003). So I will leave it up to anyone who would like to comment leaving their pick for what review I do on Thursday. I will accept feedback both today and Monday.
The Choices: Outpost by Ann Aguirre
Ascension by Sable Grace
Sweet Sofie by Elizabeth Reyes
Hold Me Closer, Necromancer by Lish McBride
Lancaster House by Taylor Dean
Crewel by Gennifer Albin
Lucid by Adrienne Stoltz
The Iron King by Julie Kagawa
Crank by Ellen Hopkins
Kiss of Steel by Bec McMaster
I am really looking for feedback on what book you want reviewed so that you all will hopefully be as interested in reading the review as possible. ^.^ Thanks for stopping by, feel free to leave a link to your Sunday Post or whatever other bookish meme you partake in over the weekend and I will be sure to stop by! Enjoy your Sunday. 🙂

Saturday – Stacking The Shelves #9 & NaNoWriMo Day 9
This last week has been crazy as usual! I do want to apologize for only doing the one review last week but I haven’t had the chance to read much lately which makes doing new reviews pretty difficult! I had a blast during Haunted Week which wrapped up, I can’t wait to do something like that again next year when Halloween rolls around. NaNoWriMo, or for those not familiar with it otherwise known as National Novel Writing Month, kicked off this week and my daily posts recapping my days writing began as well. It has been challenging to write as much as I want to and that will be made pretty obvious if you decide to read my Day 3 post which is already up here.
Due to how much time and energy NaNoWriMo takes my reviews will definitely be sporadic as I have mentioned a couple times in my daily NaNo posts. I hope you can forgive me for that! I do have one planned for tomorrow but after that they will be relatively random so I won’t be fixing reviews to dates like I usually do. I will continue to participate in the memes since those are relatively easy to do and hopefully those along with my daily NaNo updates will be enough to tide you over for now. ^.^
Thanks for stopping by, leave a comment on anything I’ve mentioned here and I will make sure to read and possibly reply as well, I do love to read them! Feel free to leave a link to your Sunday Post or whatever other bookish meme you partake in over the weekend and I will be sure to stop by! Enjoy your Sunday. 🙂

Friday – NaNoWriMo Update #1
Saturday – Stacking The Shelves #8 & NaNoWriMo Update #2
It has been an insane week here and I honestly don’t know how I managed to do it all, but it was a blast! I think I’ll be taking November off of read-a-thons so if there are any I hope those who participate have a blast but I won’t have the time for it this coming month. I hope you enjoyed all of the extra posts with Haunted Week (which will continue a bit longer) and my updates of how the 22 on 22 read-a-thon was going. I was honored last week to have been made a part of the Stitch Blog Tour and am glad that those who have read that particular review enjoyed it. ^.^
As for this week it is another really busy one! There are five more days of double posts not including today which is also one (if you include this post). Starting Thursday the insanity that is NaNoWriMo will begin! For those of you who don’t know you can find out more about it here. The quick summary of NaNoWriMo is it stands for National Novel Writing Month where the goal is to try and write a novel of 50,000 words or more in the month of November. Now you certainly don’t have to write that much but it is the benchmark for the event. It is designed to give people a reason to write as much as they can and to try and achieve their goals, this is for those who have written things of this length before as well as those who haven’t written anything besides what was assigned to them back in school, all levels are welcome! This will be my first NaNoWriMo and I am very excited to participate though I haven’t the foggiest idea how I will write ~1,667 words a day and blog every day as well but I’ll give it my best shot!
It will be another fun week here as we wrap up Haunted Week and participate in the usual memes. I’ll also be doing two book reviews this week. I hope you stop by throughout the week and check up on my NaNoWriMo progress as well as read my other posts! ^.^

Friday – Feature and Follow #3, 4th update post about Read-a-thon & Skeletons on My Bookshelf
Saturday – Stacking The Shelves #7, 5th update post about Read-a-thon & Back From the Grave
As usual it has been a pretty fun week here! I finally got to read Dark Light of Day which I had been looking forward to for months and really enjoyed it. I also read both of the books I had received in exchange for reviews and hopefully Derek and Harlan were happy with them! 🙂 The usual memes were a blast this week and I received plenty of great books both in the mail and in eBook format so I’ll be diving into more of those soon too!
This week will have the usual combination of memes and reviews including my review of The Raven Boys which I received an eBook copy of last week and tore into like a madman…or hobbit. I wonder what a madhobbit would look like…maybe like Gollum? Anyway, I digress. So I made a bonus post (link above) on Friday about the two Halloween/October events I will be partaking in. As you can see from the schedule above, and as I am slowly starting to fully grasp, I’m going to be really busy…and updating a lot. I hope that is a good thing for you. o.o Seriously though, I think the next couple weeks will be really fun and I can’t wait to experience all the bookish awesomeness that I know will await me. I really encourage you to go check out that post and if either event seems interesting to you please do join up and have fun with us! You don’t have to be like me (in other words a total nut job) and do every single thing, just reading one book during the read-a-thon or posting on one of the Halloween events would be fantastic! Anyway, there should be something fun for you to read every day so make sure to stop by! ^.^
Thank you for reading! I would love it if you leave a comment either with your own Sunday Post or what you think about what I posted last week or what I will be doing this week! Oh, and how many of you have participated in a read-a-thon? If you have what is your favorite part and if you haven’t what has held you back? Enjoy your Sunday! 🙂

Friday – Feature and Follow #2
Saturday – Stacking The Shelves #6
If you have followed me long enough to have read my Sunday Post from last week you would know I had planned to post both the review of Dark Light of Day and The Reanimation of Edward Schuett last week. I am so sorry, I’m a bad blogger I know, try to forgive me! 😦 If I had slept enough lately I could explain exactly why I was unable to post them on-time but alas. I believe it was a combination of adding Feature and Follow to my growing list of memes I participate in (now at 4!), the discovery of Dewey’s Read-A-Thon and my attempt at visiting all of the WoW & FF posts to interact with other bloggers that just had me crazy busy and exhausted. I will bounce back this week though I swear!
As you can see it is another packed week here as I will be participating in my usual array of memes and I’ll also post three reviews including Dark Light of Day which will be posted sometime this afternoon/night. Participating in this Read-A-Thon has allowed me to finish all three of the books I’ll be posting reviews of which has been insanely helpful and MAYBE will even let me get ahead a bit so I’m not staying up for 48 hours and then crashing for ten repeatedly. ^.^
My blog does have “Randomness” in the title and I have thus far included very little of that spontaneity which will change with Tuesday’s post! I won’t give too much away but suffice it to say it will include a CRAZY large amount of books, so big that I chose not to even include them in my Stacking The Shelves posts, they needed their own day! So be excited for that! You can see I am excited for it too, look at all of those exclamation points. 😀
That’s all from me for this post. As I am typing this I am still participating in the Read-A-Thon so I will be mostly reading for another 8.5 hours including Burn For Burn which is my treat to myself for reading my books I got in exchange for reviews. ^.^ I hope this week’s schedule peaks your interest and if you would like to subscribe in any way that would be amazing! Oh, don’t forget to comment! I love each and every one of them, they seriously make my day! Enjoy your Sunday! 🙂
Sunday Post #2
Sunday Post
The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by the amazing Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It is a chance to share news, recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.
I post my books that I receive in my Saturday Stacking The Shelves post so for my part I focus on the recap/preview parts of Sunday Post.
Last Week
Conner by Miranda Stork – “Play-By-Play” Review (3/5)
Fraterfest Read-A-Thon – Main Post
Full-Throttle Space Tales #6 – Space Battles – Review (5/5)
Waiting On Wednesday – Hot Blooded by Amanda Carlson
Shades of War by Sarah-Jane Lehoux – Review (5/5)
Fraterfest Read-A-Thon Schedule – Challenges & Reading List
Attic Clowns: Volumes 1 & 2 by Jeremy C. Shipp – Mini Review (5/5)
This Week (Planned but Subject to Change)
Monday – Fraterfest Recap & thoughts
Tuesday – The Red Serpent Trilogy Review
Wednesday – Waiting On Wednesday
Thursday – Dark Light of Day Review
Friday – The Reanimation of Edward Schuett Review
Saturday – Stacking The Shelves
As you can see it will be another highly active week from me. ^.^ I may also do my first ever Feature & Follow Friday next week but I have yet to decide on that, will depend on how I’m doing with my reviews and everything else going on prior. I’m really excited to read Dark Light of Day as I was able to read the first three chapters in an Ace/Roc sampler I won before it came out and it seems fantastic! You can likely expect a gushing review on that one unless something weird changes. =)
That’s all from me for this post, I hope the schedule for next week looks interesting and fun-filled enough for you to want to stop on by again! Follow me if you like via any of the usual methods, oh and comment! I read all the comments and if you have a Sunday Post feel free to link me up so I can check it out! As always thanks for reading, enjoy your Sunday! 🙂
