Wicked Valentine’s Read-a-Thon Vol. 2
Wicked Valentine’s Read-a-Thon Vol. 2
The Wicked Valentine’s Read-A-Thon is a time when we all get together to dedicate the days of February 7-17 to as much reading as possible. You read as much as you can in order to get yourself a little further through that huge to-read pile! We know real life gets in the way and even if you can’t participate more than one day, you’re welcome to join in on the fun!
In the meanwhile, we will be hosting book-related challenges where you can win some awesome prizes and have a Twitter party at the hashtag #WWReadathon! You can posts updates on your blog, Twitter, Goodreads or Facebook — as long as the profile is public and we all can enjoy your reading progress!

I’m a huge fan of the WWReadathons and even though I know this post is going up a day late I’m still excited to participate. Unfortunately this particular readathon is during a time I’m semi-busy (I’m working the day this is posted & Monday, plus college stuff is due this coming week), but I will try to read as much as possible (as always) all the same!
I don’t really have a set list of books for this readathon simply because I wasn’t aware it was happening until the day of! So I’ll just put ten books I’m considering reading during it and update as I read. Sound good? Off we go!

Oh another readathon? Why thank you, I’d love to! If you read my blog you know that I love attempting doing readathons whenever possible, even if I really don’t have much time to read during them they are too fun to pass up! The Books, Brains ‘n Blood Readathon is hosted by the lovely people over at My Shelf Confessions from August 2nd to August 6th. It doesn’t look like there are any “theme” requirements for books, but I’ll be saving some creepy reads just for the occasion. If you would like to sign up, and you know you would, just click on the lovely picture above and join in on the fun! There are all sorts of other events going on such as a blog hop, challenges and some prizes being given away if you want to do more than just the readathon.
I’ll be doing my main post for this readathon (with my list of books and stats and what not) closer to August. Hope to see you there!

Wicked Wildfire Read-A-Thon
The Wicked Wildfire Read-A-Thon is a time when we all get together to dedicate the days of June 7-14 to as much reading as possible. You read as much as you can in order to get yourself a little further through that huge to-read pile! I’m BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACK!
That’s right! Frodo’s Blog of Randomness is back in full force starting this weekend, I know I’m excited and I hope you are too! If you follow the blog or my twitter @1FantasyFanatic then you know all about how work has scheduled me 50+ hours every week, well that has FINALLY come to an end and I have time to get back into blogging and the community that I love so much. I missed all of you! Hugs and happy dances for all! What better way to get back into the swing of things then to join a readathon and stock up some books to review for you guys, sound like a plan? Not like I could resist anyway, but the folks at My Shelf Confessions host a fabulous readathon and I really enjoyed the last one (Wicked Valentine’s Read-A-Thon) so all the more reason to sign up!
Last time I read over 1,500 pages, and while I don’t have nearly the amount of free time I did then I still plan to read at least a few books and post some reviews as I get back into blogging on a regular basis. I’m mixing up my reading list a bit from the last couple that didn’t go so well in hopes to have some better success and get a bit more motivated! As always I don’t plan to read ALL of these books, but they are at the top of my current list. Stats at the bottom.

Oh come on, you all know me, I can’t resist a readathon! Besides, with reading a book a day there really is no reason for me not to join and socialize/read a bit more. Also, this is the perfect time for me to do one of these bad boys as I only work 3 of the days that this goes on, huzzah! ^.^
For anyone who wants to sign up you can click the pretty picture above or right here and make sure to use #WWReadathon on twitter to join in on the socializing fun! There will be prizes and challenges and twitter parties during the readathon so make sure to look for that! I’ll be using this as my update post throughout the readathon for any challenges I participate in as well as my reading progress.
Going into this I didn’t really have any specific goals outside of my usual book/day, but I suppose it would be to read 10 in the 7 days instead of 7 so I could get a little ahead for the weekend (since I work Friday-Sunday after the readathon). Here are some of the books I’m considering:
Prophecy by Ellen Oh
Under the Never Sky by Veronica Rossi
Enclave by Ann Aguirre

Your Fate in Fiction
Challenge: If your life were to suddenly (very randomly) turn into a plot from any book you’ve either read or want to read in the future, which plot would you hope it turned out to be and why?
Response: I would want it to turn into the plot from the Pendragon series by D. J. MacHale. Bobby (the main character) does have to go through a lot of emotional and physical pain at different points in the series but he gets to travel across time and various dimensions/other worlds which is awesome. It may not be a “perfect” life to live but it would be incredible and Bobby learns a lot about himself along the way. ^.^
Randomly Fill in the Sentence
Challenge: Keeping things random and simple, we just want you to finish the following sentence from Speak with a random sentence on a random page from your current read!
