Wicked Valentine’s Read-a-Thon Vol. 2 Recap
Wicked Valentine’s Read-a-Thon Vol. 2
I do so love readathons, and the WWReadathons are always amazing, but alas this one is over. The Twitter chats were a ton of fun, the books for me were mostly excellent despite not reading as much as I wanted, and overall it was a great time of bookish goodness. Over the course of the readathon I read 9 books and started a tenth, reading a total of 2,850 pages, not too shabby! Now, without further ado, here are the books I read! ^.^
Code Name Verity by Elizabeth Wein – 2/5
Prep School Confidential by Kara Taylor – 3/5
Three by Kristen Simmons – 5/5 – reviewed it here!
Lady Thief by A.C. Gaughen – 5/5
Split Second by Kasie West – 5/5
Tommy Nightmare by JL Bryan – 2/5 – reviewed it here!
If You Find Me by Emily Murdoch – 5/5
Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson – 4/5
The Future of Us by Jay Asher – 4/5
Cruel Beauty by Rosamund Hodge (started)

I can’t wait to participate in more readathons in the near future as well as the next WWReadathon! How did you do for this readathon? Did you meet your goals or even surpass them? What was your favorite read during it? Thanks as always for reading! ^.^
Sunday Post #18
Sunday Post
The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by the amazing Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It is a chance to share news, recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.
I love participating in Sunday Post because I can provide a recap of books I read, talk about what is coming up next week, and discuss any books I received in the past week!
This was a fun week as I received books from all sorts of sources: a book I won, one via ARCycling, a few random orders, and pre-orders!

Despite the fact that I managed to read a book a day this week (even though I got more sick) I’m not thrilled with my reading progress. This was the main part of the Wicked Valentine’s Readathon and I wanted to get at least 10 books in during that portion, so while 7 is alright, for a readathon it isn’t stepping up my usual levels at all. However, I didn’t read any novellas this week, everything was full length novels (some of which were even 350-400 or so), so that’s good.
Even though the quantity wasn’t there this week the quality sure was! Lady Thief and Split Second, my two pre-orders for this week, both lived up to every possible expectation I could have had for them and I’m already pining for the next in each series! Three was just as excellent and a wonderful way to end the trilogy, and If You Find Me gave me ALL THE FEELS. So ya, good stuff.
I’ve already read almost half the books I received this week, and will likely pick up another soon because they just look so pretty! I don’t know when I’ll get around to reading The Name of the Wind though, the book is massive. o_o I hope you enjoyed the variety this week with a cover reveal AND a blog tour review, it was a ton of fun to participate in both! Thanks for stopping by, feel free to leave a link to your Sunday Post or whatever other bookish meme you partake in over the weekend and I will be sure to check it out! Enjoy your Sunday! ^.^
