Bout of Books 9.0 Recap
Bout of Books
Well it was fun while it lasted, but this edition of the Bout of Books readathon is over! I hope you all had fun with the twitter chats, challenges, and bookish goodness this past week! For me it was a resounding success, easily the best I’ve done in one of these readathons so far. I read a total of twelve books (two of which were novellas) getting me to a total of just over 3,000 pages! I got to experience new authors, continue some series I love, and have a blast with the twitter chats. I didn’t do any challenges, but that’s fine, my focus was on ze books. Now, without further ado, here are the books I read!
Ready Player One by Ernest Cline – 5/5 – reviewed it here!
The Titan’s Curse by Rick Riordan – 5/5
The Distance Between Us by Kasie West – 5/5
Curtsies & Conspiracies by Gail Carriger – 5/5
Unhinged by A.G. Howard – 4/5 – reviewed it here!
Giggles by Michael Crane – 2/5 – reviewed it here!
Jenny Pox by J.L. Bryan – 5/5 – review coming on Thursday!
The Wicked Woods by Kelly Apple – 5/5 – special review coming on Friday!
Scorch by Gina Damico – 5/5
The Brokenhearted by Amelia Kahaney – 4/5
The Wicked Wolf by Kelly Apple – 3/5
Fungus of the Heart by Jeremy C. Shipp – 5/5 – review coming next Monday!

Overall I’m pretty happy with the reading I got done despite having two days where I didn’t complete a book, one of which I didn’t read altogether. The readathon was a blast as always and I can’t wait to participate in the next Bout of Books as well as plenty of other readathons in the near future. The next semester of college starts today so it is back to the grind, and it is events like this that help me get ahead on the blog, I can’t thank Amanda and Kelly enough! Thanks as always for reading! ^.^
Bout of Books 9.0
Bout of Books
The Bout of Books read-a-thon is organized by Amanda @ On a Book Bender and Kelly @ Reading the Paranormal. It is a week long read-a-thon that begins 12:01am Monday, Jan 6th and runs through Sunday, Jan 12th in whatever time zone you are in. Bout of Books is low-pressure, and the only reading competition is between you and your usual number of books read in a week. There are challenges, giveaways, and a grand prize, but all of these are completely optional. For all Bout of Books 9.0 information and updates, be sure to visit the Bout of Books blog. – From the Bout of Books team
I love the Bout of Books read-a-thon, it’s definitely a favorite of mine and probably the best there is for read-a-thons longer than 24hrs. There are always great prizes, fun challenges and of course, the amazing twitter chats! I’ll be visiting my grandma for the majority of the readathon, so I don’t know if I’ll get to as many books as I’d like, but I love it too much to pass completely, so I will try and fit as much reading time as my schedule (and politeness) allows. As always the challenge updates as well as updated stats will be below so look for that, and the books listed are only some of what I may or may not read, enjoy the read-a-thon!
Tiger Lily by Jodi Lynn Anderson
Another Little Piece by Kate Karyus Quinn
Horde by Ann Aguirre

The Future of Us by Jay Asher
Curtsies & Conspiracies by Gail Carriger

Doin’ It Dirty
Doin’ It Dirty
All ze naughtyness shall be had! I can haz schmexy reads? Why yes you can! Also you can apparently have a bunch of made up words, huzzah for you! (I wrote this while I was really tired and about to collapse, my apologies.) So what is this? A READATHON!!! All about sexy, dirty and naughty stories meant to set your body on fire (well not literally) and to give you a break from all those other types of books you normally read. Unless you read erotica type stuff all the time, which is totally cool, basically keep doing that.
Anyhow! It’s for one day, 12 hours (of which I’ll be available for about 8 of after work) and there is sexy reads to be had, an awesome twitter chat to join and even drinkage (if you are old enough) so you should join up! If you want to take part click the sexy picture above! Now, onto my goals! I saved a bunch of Leigh Wilder’s work so I’ll be reading ALL of that stuffs. Other than hers who knows?! I have a few things on my kindle I can/will read, a sexy book to finish by Tina Folsom in print and I’m sure I could be roped into buying some stuff if you have suggestions! So without further ado my list (of potential reads that I won’t likely get to all of):
Addicted to the Bite by Leigh Wilder
Club Midnight by Leigh Wilder
Saturday Night by Leigh Wilder
The Beauty and the Beast by Leigh Wilder
The Red Shoes by Leigh Wilder
Brian is Gay (and so am I) by Leigh Wilder
Boy by Leigh Wilder
Gabriel’s Mate by Tina Folsom
Wicked Lustful Tales Volume 1 by My Writing Den
Restored to Love edited by Antonia Adams
