Wicked Valentine’s Read-a-Thon

Wicked Valentine's Readathon

Hosted by My Shelf Confessions

Oh come on, you all know me, I can’t resist a readathon! Besides, with reading a book a day there really is no reason for me not to join and socialize/read a bit more. Also, this is the perfect time for me to do one of these bad boys as I only work 3 of the days that this goes on, huzzah! ^.^

For anyone who wants to sign up you can click the pretty picture above or right here and make sure to use #WWReadathon on twitter to join in on the socializing fun! There will be prizes and challenges and twitter parties during the readathon so make sure to look for that! I’ll be using this as my update post throughout the readathon for any challenges I participate in as well as my reading progress.

Going into this I didn’t really have any specific goals outside of my usual book/day, but I suppose it would be to read 10 in the 7 days instead of 7 so I could get a little ahead for the weekend (since I work Friday-Sunday after the readathon). Here are some of the books I’m considering:

Prophecy by Ellen Oh

Under the Never Sky by Veronica Rossi

Enclave by Ann Aguirre

Everneath by Brodi Ashton

Unearthly by Cynthia Hand

Will Grayson, Will Grayson by John Green & David Levithan

Going Nowhere Faster by Sean Beaudoin

Ruby Red by Kerstin Gier

Let’s Pretend This Never Happened by Jenny Lawson

Splintered by A.G. Howard

The Quillan Games by D.J. MacHale

The Name of the Star by Maureen Johnson

Stormdancer by Jay Kristoff

I’ve heard great things about Everneath and The Name of the Star! 🙂 Hope you manage to finish them and can’t wait to chat to you all on Twitter (again) 😀

Here are my goals if you’d like to have a look.

  2. I just have to say I’m so thrilled with your 365 bks/year challenge. Like WOW I totally wish I could join you on it but I just cannot read that fast. I’m going out on a bit of a limb with my goodreads challenge at 70/yr 😀 I’m glad this WWReadathon landed on a good time for you! My goal is to read Under the Never Sky and Enclave this year as well. I’ve had both books for awhile just haven’t gotten to them! Under the Never Sky is particularly amazing looking. I totally WILL read at least one John Green book this year – I promise you that! 😀

Happy reading! I’ll be keeping tabs on your challenge and rooting for you!

    • Thank you so much! Working full time has made it challenging (especially since when I decided to do this I was working closer to 20/week) but I’m still having a blast! It helps to do a variety of reviewing styles to keep it fresh as well. ^.^ I really appreciate the support, now to go read something! 🙂

  3. You have some great books in your list there! I can’t wait to read Under the never sky, Splintered, Prophecy and Stormdancer. Everneath is really good, so I would recommend that one ^^ and I liked The name of the star.

    Happy reading! 😀
